It was a bit of a hollow victory due to the circumstances but I'd much rather have a hollow victory over them than another defeat.
As much as the result didn't really matter, I think it was an important victory for Beale and some of the players on the park (especially the new guys). The management/players proving to us, and more importantly themselves, that they can win these games will only help to increase the belief/confidence going forward.
If we had lost the game then a lot of questions would start to be asked and they would have extra validity.
I actually don't think our overall performance was much better/worse than any of the previous 3 old firm games. The difference was that we took our chances and avoided silly/amateurish mistakes at the back.
