It’s also interesting to note that the Barrowfield allegations weren’t on the original charge sheet but are now.

A FORMER chairman of Celtic Boys Club has appeared in court charged with historic sex offences against school pupils during his stint as a primary teacher.
Gerald King, 65, has been accused of lewd and libidinous practices towards six students while he was teaching at St Martha’s Primary School in Balarnock.

He was suspended from his job following the revelations and he was warned to stay away from the school after his arrest on February 15 last year.
King appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court today to face charges spanning from August 1, 1983, to June 30, 1989, at the Glasgow school.
It’s claimed King, from Springburn, is also facing a seventh charge of taking or making indecent images of children between January 1987 and December 1988.
He pleaded not guilty and was allowed to continue on bail ahead of a pre-trial hearing next month.
From yesterday. You wouldn’t even know he had anything to do with Celtic.

He went on trial today at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he is represented by defence counsel Gavin Anderson.
The charges span from August 1, 1983 to June 30, 1989 at the school in Glasgow and are alleged to have been committed against five boys and two girls.
King, from Springburn, Glasgow also faces a charge of taking or permitting to be taken, indecent images of children on various occasions between January 1987 and December 1988 at Barrowfield football park at the city’s London road.
The pensioner denies the charges against him and the trial before sheriff Johanna Johnston QC continues.

When is the next one appearing?
That's the incredible thing in all of this. The sheer volume of abuse. The scale of the cover up. The hundreds of young lives ruined.
It was organised. It still is organised. It IS A ring. An organised group of abusers OPERATING FREELY.
A sinister club protecting and shielding those abusers. A club that re employed a convicted abuser and paid hush money to victims families.
An organisation that has covered up the wide-scale abuse of children.
An organisation that tries to distance itself from the abusers they facilitated and employed.
A club that took boys away on overseas trips to facilitate abuse on American soil.
A club that paid solicitors and parents to cover up and remain silent about abuse in the USA.
A club that will never apologise to the victims of abuse.
A club that will never acknowledge their culpability nor will they pay for their crimes.
A club protected by an evil government.
A club protected by a corrupt FA.
All this in a country that has ignored the largest abuse scandal in world sport.
Truly, I'm thoroughly ashamed of my country.

Yep covered up by bastards like Burns (now deed unfortunately) who knew about Cairney etc.
As someone who's father was involved in youth club football he was friendly with a coach of another team and who was involved with Celtic youth teams at one point.
A bigger Tim you couldn't of found but he ended up with death threats and excrement put through his letterbox due to him wanting to out the situation and sordid goings on at that club.
This was best past of 20 years ago I remember my old man discussing it with him.
Was exactly what you speak about ie the US trip and that Cairney while Burns etc covered up for them.
