Arfield didn't quite make it then
More of a gamble to play without a natural centre forward IMOHuge gamble putting Sadiq in by Gerrard if i am honest
I think it’s more a case that he was deemed not even good enough to make the bench versus Ayr United just a few weeks ago.People need to calm down ffs, would any of the sheep strikers score 5 in 12 games in the Dutch top league?
Sadiq will be fine and his pace will cause them problems I'm sure.
We did speak about this in the week. It was always a possibility.Sadiq could be a masterstroke or a disaster - depending on which version turns up. I don't think even Umar knows what to expect.
Huge gamble putting Sadiq in by Gerrard if i am honest
The big man to get all the goals in an 8-0 victory.
MON THE UMAR
Lesser stakes I’d say.Worrall's debut in Spain was more of a gamble than Sadiq today surely?
Tbh it's the most conservative gamble Gerrard could make. It's a recognised striker coming in for a recognised striker. Sure, it's a gamble but probably no more a gamble than putting Kent or Arfield through the middle.
Since the gaffer called him out around then he has improved hugely in both performance in training and his determination to prove he can play a part while here seemingly. Gerrard confirmed himself last week that their had been a real improvement from him.I think it’s more a case that he was deemed not even good enough to make the bench versus Ayr United just a few weeks ago.

It allows us to play our normal game elsewhere.
Take Kent or Candeias our of their normal positions? That’s a much bigger gamble for me.
Not for the first time eitherSo did @sherbrook_loyal just decide to troll us all with the Tav striker story for a laugh?

Does this make you feel stupid? Or just look it?Fairly new poster with only a handful of posts ... I'm in, its Sadiq up front it is then
There's a lot of logic in this.
