Has Jim Forrest borrowed Bobby Shearer’s left thigh?
Ah yes, 'the hat-trick that gave me the willies' story iirc.I believe that photo is in my “Topical Times” from 1969!

Pretty sure that is Harry Hood, I don't think the Apollo Dixie ever faced McKinnon whilst at the Filth.
Harry Hood.
Now there was a Rangers Centre Half !
Thanks for posting that @drgriffen. Always good to see the opposition knew we are The Rangers.
I wonder what the reason for that photograph to be taken. Thankfully it was. Davie Meiklejohn looks relatively young so I assume that was in the days of Tommy Muirhead being our Captain. Fantastic photograph.Three of our Greatest Ever

I don't know why this particular shot was taken, but Davie Meiklejohn never looked young to me.I wonder what the reason for that photograph to be taken. Thankfully it was. I'm sure there is a picture with Alan Morton, George Livinstone (trainer) and Davie Meiklejohn just like the one above.Three of our Greatest Ever

Bobby Roberts,Leicester captain,signed from Motherwell.
Alan Morton’s age surprised me too when I found out : a bit like Jock Shaw signing for us when he was 26-27.I don't know why this particular shot was taken, but Davie Meiklejohn never looked young to me.
I was surprised to find that Alan Morton was 27 years old when Bill Struth signed him.
Alan Morton collected 8 League titles, 3 Scottish Cups, played 342 Games for Rangers,
won 23 Scotland Caps (8 v England) whilst in his 30's!
Jimmy Fleming and (possibly) Bob ‘Newry’ Hamilton throwing Alan Morton a lifeline.
Jackie Sinclair scored against us, if memory serves correctly, for Newcastle United in Fairs Cup Semi-Final, 1969. (As an aside, Davie Gibson was a clever player who gained circa 8 Scotland caps).Bobby Roberts,Leicester captain, signed from Motherwell.
