What makes us strong is having better players than the rest of Scotland, I agree that we've had iconic captains and we should always aim for that where possible but I think you're close to verging on desperate in thinking that taking it away from Tavernier and giving it to someone already in the squad would make any difference at all.The importance of a captain must always be fundamental to Rangers. It's our tradition and we need it cause that's what makes us strong.
I understand that you can see how a young Barry Ferguson thrived under the responsibility and think that Hagi can do the same but the reality is that Hagi is already bringing those qualities to the table.
All you really achieve by doing this is hanging Tavernier out to dry
