It really is a shame mate. Every time one of our fans is innocently caught waving at a friend innocently they just always happen to be a young ned with their face covered up. Of all the blasted bad luck!Yes, but offer a couple of option.
For example:
Is the person in the still photograph:
A) waving to a friend in the crowd.
B) saluting like National Socialists do.
C) doing something else.
I've had a debate with a group of SNP diehard bellends on facebook who are friends of a friend since the game about this.
It all started when the 1st post showed the Union Bears march under the tag line 'Not In My Scotland'.
I think I'm a reasonable guy. I've explained calmly what it is, even said I think it's utter bollocks too, but defended the march as nothing more than a fan group adding to the occasion and atmosphere with a bit of noise and colour. I also said I have no problem with their lot doing the same, which I don't, as long as no one getting hurt I've no problem with it at all.
In the replies I've been called a 'moron', 'braindead moron', 'not a normal sane person', 'A sick individual'.
I've not once insulted anyone throughout the whole thread.
Funny enough most of the punters replying still have a 'Yes' picture as their profile, and most have posted stuff celebrating their result yesterday.
They are not interested in debate. It's their way or nothing.
They are not interested in free speech. It's their speech or nothing.
They are not interested in freedom of expression. It's their expression or nothing.
Now we have elected members of Parliament acting in the same way?
We're on a very slippery slope if you ask me.
Not shocked by this, only have to hear the clowns voice to understand why.
Correct.Surely sticking your hand up in the air doesn't always mean your doing a Nazi or red hand salute,I'm sure I've done it in the past and never at any time was I actually saluting anything or anyone never even crossed my mind.
Correct.
I’ve stood with my hand up and with arm extended, trying to attract my wife’s attention in Argyle Street one day.
(Probably a lot more often than once and in a lot more locations)
Does this mean that I was conducting a Nazi salute?
The Nationalists are simply converting the open goal that was handed to them.
Using the word ‘19th Century Terrorists’ to publicise the March, wearing balaclavas ffs, and insisting on doing this ‘red hand salute’?
How did people think this was going to be twisted by grandstanding, opportunistic politicians?
We make it so easy for those who hate us sometimes it’s untrue.
Plus, the bleating about how it’s all so unfair is infuriating.
That’s not really my point though was it.It really is a shame mate. Every time one of our fans is innocently caught waving at a friend innocently they just always happen to be a young ned with their face covered up. Of all the blasted bad luck!
Well said. Only one support displayed sickening sectarian behaviour and singing and it wasn’t Rangers Patrick but then you knew that already.Honestly anyone can take a free swipe on Rangers now a days
The GB march through the broomloan end, and constant IRA singing throughout the game (THAT WAS HEARD ON TV) have been completely over looked. Not to mention the coin throw that hit a wee boy in the Rangers end, and celtic fans ambushing a couple of straggling bears.
I despise the politicians in this country
Rubbish, it is an embarrassment. Nothing to do with Rangers in the slightest. It does for our supporters. The same support that follow Rangers every single week.
I agree mate. But this demonstrates the problem. Half the folk are pathetically attempting to claim it is a wave gone wrong and the other half are claiming it is a salute but it is OK.That’s not really my point though was it.
There’s a lot more to being a fascist than copying a salute.
Yes, but the people that are calling it far-right salute know its a red hand salute. They just say it to fit their agenda
Anybody who expects anybody officially connected to Rangers to get involved when they’re putting out flyers about marching against 19th Century Terrorists and doing salutes needs their head checked. We do not have a board who fight our corner we learned that against Motherwell and Hibs we need the board to be stronger.
We are seen as weak and easy to attack from everyone.
Correct. At the time of the referendum the bullying from the yes camp was a downright disgrace, people being called all sorts, ‘you’re not Scottish, etc.’I've had a debate with a group of SNP diehard bellends on facebook who are friends of a friend since the game about this.

In fairness, he would have only seen us fromWonder if Harvie and the rest of these politicians noticed there were far more saltires in the Rangers support than in the fhilth support .
We do not have a board who fight our corner we learned that against Motherwell and Hibs we need the board to be stronger.

Tell him to go away and prop up the left wing republican ira loving snp govt.So this filthy rabid communist red shirt lefty who supports socialism which caannot be democratic or libertarian sits and calls Rangers fans "far-right" as if that's a bad thing because they dare to go out there in protest march against the attack on our freedom of speech!?
That's what happens when you dare stand up against filthy red shirts, they try to push Fascism off onto the right, even although Fascism is a collectivist system and is socialist, they'll attempt to label you as being Fascist, why? Because you dare to stand up for what is right and that is standing up for freedom of speech. If standing for liberty was oh so dangerous, what the hell do you call their socialist shite that led millions to their death bed?
Trust me, I'd happily take that socialist bastard to the cleaners in a one on one debate, I'd humiliate the prick.

We will never have common ground with the bheasts and fans of the other clubs. As you say, they hate our very existence. I can’t wait til we reclaim our rightful place. I want us to rub their fûcking noses in it.Who mentioned that I said against Hibs and Motherwell the board let it be known they would not fight our corner.
This is what it leads to you cannot build bridges when people despise everything you stand for.
Everybody hates us so it’s pointless doing anything.Who mentioned that I said against Hibs and Motherwell the board let it be known they would not fight our corner.

Traditions and culture? None of my papas did any of that nonsense. I've asked one of them and he's never seen anything like it in his day. It seems to me we are being infiltrated with folk with other agendas. Me, I just like football and support my team.I understand what you are saying but to change the traditions and culture of our club and supporters to please others is something we will never do. Never ever.
I'm 28 and can remember doing it at games when I was a teenager, just as I also used to put a half bottle of Buckie in my trackie bottoms to drink during the game. I would have definitely fallen under the 'no one likes us we don't care' mentality you describe back then.Fair point but thats probably where our differences lie. I'm in my 20's and see it often at away games, not so much home games. I cant see it stopping any time soon tbh. Our support will always have the "no one likes us, we don't care' mentality
Open goal by the union bears.
F*nians, salutes and balaclavas. Embarrassing stuff.
You keep James Blaney's memory out of this thread!Hope they didn't batter a protestant 19th Century Terrorist. That would make things even worse
You won,t get a reply from him on that one .dosn,t fit his agenda.Would be nice if you tweeters on here could ask Paddy for his comments on the Old Govan Arms incidents.

Through the gaps in the tricolours. In fairness, he would have only seen us from
the Broomloan.
Precisely.Through the gaps in the tricolours.
I agree with your post but especially this bit.
The irony of these social justice warriors (SJW's) challenging what anyone says and does yet they are the most abusive and offensive types of people i know.
