The mentally challengeds can't punt players with 12 months left for 16m and we're struggling to get a bid of 10m for Aribo, I find that strange.
How do you know we’re struggling to get a bid?

We’ve been primed as hell for him leaving, just a case of where he wants to go.

Ah, I see we have reached episode 587 of the summer of the hit sketch show "how do release clauses work?"

That’s down to the clubs chasing the player. I doubt Wilson, or anybody else, is refusing to take calls from clubs wishing to throw money at our players. He was happy to talk to Everton after all.

You can’t, it’s madness. People seem to be thinking they are playing championship manager and not the real world.

If Aribo goes it will be for the £10 million not a penny less and not a penny more if that is his legally contracted release amount.

A club can choose to pay more and we can choose to accept less so you might want to have a look at hie you've phrased that.

Again, the Rangers media partners were literally putting it into the public domain on instruction by the club.
That he had been offered a new deal and refused to sign it? Is so, apologies but I didn’t see that in the papers etc where these things are usually picked up (the goldson saga was often in it)

Cast your mind back to the last 6months of their failed 10 in a row bid!

Those players demanded they get out the club, they were being given police escorts and had to park their cars in secret locations.

It’s not that strange when you think about it

What is it that you do know mate?
A German scout, who I done my player identification courses with in England, mentioned to me that Rangers scouts were looking at him in almost every game last season. Said we were at the character and background stage of scouting, which is usually a sign when a team are getting ready to make moves.

I know there are more in the know than me here though so just thought I'd ask Incase I got the famous Orange text

Theo Bogonda?

Just into his last year of his deal at Genk, moved there for 7m euro summer 2019.

Plays left and right wing.

I know Aribo played 70 games and was on international duty but find it incredible that he is returning on Thurs/Fri (assume with Bassey, Kamara, Barisic) half way through our preseason trip. Sure for the sake of a few days they could have come back earlier and gone with the squad, and some some easier days to start with?

Who you talking about mate?

He’s 16 mate. Probably spend the next season floating between our u18s and the B Team, a bit like Robbie Ure did this season. Must have something about him or you don’t get a handful of First Team games, even at that level, otherwise. Our poster @Millger is a Millwall/Rangers man and might have more info. I know he’s seen him play.
Just the report I was reading re Millwall tried their all with him and his family to make him stay and seems a bit of a demand. Wonder what package Rangers put to him to convince him, good work.

They won’t open at £10m.

If he’s refused to sign a new deal, if I was them, I’d start at £6m.

I don’t think we’ll see the full £10m.

We have to sell and they’ll know that - we can’t afford for him to walk for free.
Oh...TBH I never thought about it in those terms, but it's a good point unfortunately...

Finally, a scrap. Like pulling a fatty at the end of the night. I'm not proud of how excited I am about this, but I'll take it.

He has a decent game in him but like you say he is only,16 ,& it's up to us to take him to the next level & with these other good youngsters we have got can see them all being brought through together so good for the future rather then the here & now

This doesn’t make sense

Colak aside, I bet anyone who signs over the next week or so won’t have been linked anywhere on here or the media.

Everything is in house
Except Colak, Lovelace, Souttar, Lundstram, Sakala etc etc...

No idea why that still gets said in here. Its no more in house than most. We just don't have unprofessional sagas constantly played out in public like we did from 2012-2016.

I remember your post regarding this in the past, and the source couldn't get much better.

Interesting.

Well you’ve just seen one name linked who media haven’t had a sniff at. And if he signed would probably be our biggest signing of the summer.

I’m willing to say Colak aside, media haven’t named one first team target who will end up here this summer as of 21:30 today.

Theo Bongonda was highly rated before he joined Celta. Had a pretty good first season in La Liga. Sort of fell off after that. Mainly plays left wing but likes to come centrally and out on the right. Work rate is tremendous, presses, tracks back, just never tires. Loves a shot at goal too.

If we’ve scouted Bongonda I’d hope we’ve got an eye on Luca Oyen. A very good AM.
