Thats a brilliant pic of that goal! Ran riot that day!Wee Tam scores in a 3-0 win from January 1975
My favourite goal was big DJ 's.Thats a brilliant pic of that goal! Ran riot that day!
Was great from DJ! What a magnificent atmosphere there was that day. I remember the aftermath when I arrived at my parents home after the game , lets say rather cheery, for what turned out to be a continued New Year celebration in their living room. One singer one song type of thing then a chorus from all.My favourite goal was big DJ 's.
As the man said What a wonderful world. Oh yeah.Louis Armstrong at Ibrox for a concert 1962.
I had the great honour of being sick over DJ in the car on the way through to the game. Had to stop in anstruther to clean him up. OopsMy favourite goal was big DJ 's.
I was at that game. Alex Miller and Tommy Burns were sent off. I remember seeing that rhat Doyle run straight off the park at the final whistle. No handshake or nothing.League cup semi final 1978-79.

Rangers 1-0 Celtic, League Cup Final, 24th October 1970. 16 year old winning goal scorer Derek Johnstone is congratulated by injured skipper John Greig at the final whistle, with Johnstone of them also adding congratulations (changed days from what you'd get from them now!):

I had no idea about this... 1962, yet. When did music performances at football stadiums become a regular thing??Louis Armstrong at Ibrox for a concert 1962.
I still think McLean that day was as good as any Rangers performance I've seen against them.Wee Tam scores in a 3-0 win from January 1975

Credit where it is due.

On a pitch that didn't exactly favour his type of game as well.

The only way there can be going back is if we back down and grovel on the filth's terms. And make no mistake, forgetting what has went on in the recent two decades would be grovelling. There was a grudging respect between the players of both sides back then and some were even friends off the pitch. Since O'Neill came in all that's gone completely and I don't think the hatred between the clubs has ever been as deep as it is now, and it's down to them.

No more.
Have you got a picture of Penman's equalising free-kick from that gameRangers 1-1 Celtic, League Cup, 16th August 1967. Alex Ferguson comes close at a packed Ibrox (there was over 94,000 in attendance!):

Jig looked a bit like that at the end of last nights game when Hearts beat the Fhilth 2-1
It definitely is. I met him in Stuttgart that season as he was in our hotel and we had a few beers and he talked about his time at Rangers. You could tell how much he still loved the club.I think it is Gerry Neef. RIP.
Great game and a typical Derek Johnstone goal from a brilliant cross in by wee Tam.My favourite goal was big DJ 's.
Barcelona here we come! Rangers supporters on the way to the Cup-Winners Cup Final, May 1972:
