Which is the risk of going with a rookie manager.
Great players don't always make great managers. What they found easy on the park doesn't always come easily to their players. Additionally as a player they have 1 job to do and could rely on coaching from the dugout to help them during a game.
Gerrard may well become a great manager but he has a lot to learn and part of that learning will involve him making mistakes. If he's going to learn at Rangers then the fans need to accept that a title challenge is always possible but that it may equally be easy to ultimately disappoint. Celtic might not be great but they have the experience of winning titles on the park and the experience of winning in the dugout. It's going to take disappointing draws or losses for Gerrard to learn how to be a better manager.
No you’ll have to expand on that one, it’s a piss way to play. I await the it’s up to us to break them down comments but why should it have to be that way?I’m assuming you’re just having a laugh or this comment is off the scale sniff sniff material
No you’ll have to expand on that one, it’s a piss way to play.
Another thing is the poets get in new players and they settle quicker. It is not just today's performance that is worrying. Going by recent reports on here, Barisic does not seem to be the answer as an attacking left back. Neither does 'The Lesser Spotted Grezda' who has played only a handful of matches for us in six months, and he was touted as a probable 'world class' winger/attacking midfielder. It seems that that we paid £4 million pounds for the pair of them on the basis of that they had a couple of good games against us in Europe. Naturally players will play well against us in Europe in the early season to get a big money move, nothing new there.
One of the other big money signings, Katic (who can get a goal from a set-piece) hardly gets a game now and it seems his confidence can be affected when he does. Goldson and him should be forming the future defensive relationship now. I was also taken aback at the high amount of loan signings we have. We may have more re-building to do in the summer of 2019 than previously thought.
I know the feeling. As anyone should have seen at the time the obvious outcome of the signings we made is that we will have to start AGAIN in the summerI got slaughtered for saying we should not have signed Davis and for saying we should try and offload Lafferty...
One is over the hill and the other was never that good first time around.
This will be a much harder game than people think.
McGregor unavailable. Morelos unavailable. Defoe and Lafferty doubts.
St Johnstone are one of the best teams in the league when it comes to wasting a game. Time wasting, spoiling tactics, tactical fouls to break up the game. A whistle happy cunt in Steven MacLean in the middle of that who's the perfect ref for those type of tactics. They'll put 10 men behind the ball, defend for their lives and lump the ball into the channels for O'Halloran to chase for the counter attack.
I expect an ugly, frustrating, stop start game.
We'll need to grind out the win by hook or by crook. Really important we stay with the players today and don't start moaning and groaning.
We've won 3 on the bounce in the league. If we keep that going today - with Hamilton and Dundee next - we've a good chance of making that 6 wins on the spin in the League. That's the kind of form we need if we want to stay alive in the title race.
Kidding yourself on,if you were at the match today you would see for yourself goldson couldn't tackle or pass the ball cleanly, and your team lacks a out and out no 10.Need to go back to our best team
McGregor/Foderingham
Tav, Goldson, Katic,Halliday
McCrorrie,Jack,Arfield
Candieis Morelos, Kent
This should only be tampered with because of injury. Defoe , Davis should be used as subs and Lafferty the lone striker if Morelos not playing.
Your post is more like a paranoid post a Tim would come out with.Of course it’s a pish way to play but when you’re as pish as St Johnstone it’s the way you are going to play and it’s our job to break it down.
Posting a whiney comment about there needing to be a rule against teams defending against us sounds like a deliberate timposter having a laugh at our expense post.
Is that expanded enough. Incidentally. I don’t ever accuse anybody of being tims but that comment of yours truly reads like the sort of thing a Tim would post whilst pishing himself laughing.
Perhaps you’d like to expand on why you think there should be a rule in football that prevents St Johnstone sitting deep and defending.
Well?...Away and hide behind the settee then.....
That’s Rangers 2012 onwards palAnother weekend ruined.
No,the club lacks an out and out number 10. The trouble with the match was there was no tempo or winning mentality gave St Johnstone no respect, thought it an easy game and going through the motions would be enough to get the points.Kidding yourself on,if you were at the match today you would see for yourself goldson couldn't tackle or pass the ball cleanly, and your team lacks a out and out no 10.
Back to the drawing board I supposeWe were terrible but who knows it could be a point gained if/when killie beat the micks.
I blame the schools..I won’t tell you we’re to go because again I’m trying to get information about this match now shut up with your inane drivel.
