On Hagi, I was all for him being the natural succession plan to Aribo and Lowry being Hagi's back up. But after Hagis dads update recently, I'm not sure if Hagi will be fit anytime soon. Probably another 2/3 months before he is in proper training and not just gym or recovery work. Then the battle to rebuild his fitness and sharpness. I'd be pretty surprised if he starts many if any games before the break.
Tbh the World Cup in November is probably a god send for Hagi. It will allow him a proper preseason, to get himself ready for the 2nd half of the season.
So if Aribo is sold. I'd be surprised, if we don't buy a new CAM. As much as I like Lowry, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with only Lowry and Arfield able to play off the striker until the World Cup. That seems very risky going into qualifiers and a massive league campaign.
Looking at our squad. Outside of younger players going on loan or the likes of Simpson, Katic, Middleton or Kelly leaving. We will sign a replacement for anyone going who isn't in those categories.
