Then they'll appeal and it'll be heard sometime in June!I assume that will be updated to red by the compliance officer
Respectin your opinion mate but the point most of us are making take a deep breath look at it and imagine its alfie doinng that! What would be the outcome of that even in YOUR EYES,if it wasnt reckless, violent or dangerous? It was never a red card. We're now adopting the timmy mantra of looking for offence where none exists. Yellow, thats all. It wasn't reckless, violent or dangerous.
I would suggest that when the ball is not in play, any amount of force is excessive, as there should be no reason for Turnbull to kick out after the whistle has stopped play.It does. Needs to be excessive force or brutality.
That being said, I’d say that’s excessive force so it’s a red.
It's a game of football, a contact sport. A bit different from being kicked by a ned because you got the last of the chilli sauce at the kebab shop.So if you were kicked like that in the city centre on a night out would you not report it as an act of violence against you?
Strange statement from you.
Spot on mate.In a situation where the play has stopped and you are not going for the ball, the 'appropriate' level of force is, clearly, zero force. That means by default, any force applied is excessive.
As clear a red as you will see and baffling that a Rangers fan would try and dismiss it.
He's definitely got the same glaikit look.He must be getting groomed to be the new Scott Brown.
What? booting somebody's legs away from them isn't violent? It was never a red card. We're now adopting the timmy mantra of looking for offence where none exists. Yellow, thats all. It wasn't reckless, violent or dangerous.
The definitions are similar ie excessive force or brutality but it’s only serious foul play when challenging for the ball. The ball is long gone here. It’s violent conduct.I would suggest that when the ball is not in play, any amount of force is excessive, as there should be no reason for Turnbull to kick out after the whistle has stopped play.
Serious foul play (a Red Card Offence) is a foul committed using excessive force (i.e., "the player has far exceeded the necessary use of force and is in danger of injuring his opponent.").
The thing is football isn't a contact sport just in the older games you got away with it, didn't Albertz get a red for feigning to throw a punch? It's a game of football, a contact sport. A bit different from being kicked by a ned because you got the last of the chilli sauce at the kebab shop.
Classic Freudian slip.As vagrant a red card as you will ever see. No questions asked. That is straight in your face bias in display
The game had stopped though for the initial foul. The swipe of the legs is an act of petulance, could have caused injury and should be a red card. It's a game of football, a contact sport. A bit different from being kicked by a ned because you got the last of the chilli sauce at the kebab shop.
no *winks*Have you listened to what Kennedy said mate, out of interest?
The Sportscene discussion :
'Normally Willie Collum has the red out quicker than Usain Bolt' - was Turnbull lucky to escape sending off?
Sportscene pundit James McFadden discusses whether Celtic's David Turnbull was fortunate to escape a red card in his side's draw with Aberdeen.www.bbc.co.uk
You're at it.It was never a red card. We're now adopting the timmy mantra of looking for offence where none exists. Yellow, thats all. It wasn't reckless, violent or dangerous.
It can't even be described as a 'tackle'. He basically just took a boot at an opponent, from behind, when the ball was dead. We've had yellows upgraded to red for less. Be a disgrace if the same doesn't happen here.Morelos would have been hounded out of Scotland for that tackle, if nothing is done it’s another example of corruption in our game.
The tramps have a better propaganda PR machine than the CCPThe Turnbull kick at an opponent off the ball isn't in any of the match reports of today's Daily Mail or Daily Express. Griff for Scotland is the headline.
I am assuming the scum were down 1-0 at this point.
Should stitch the two together in a video to show the bias.Compare with Alfies post ball kick at Porteous - same sort of challenge. Nobody got injured but Alfie got a CO ban.

Wasn’t excessive force according to McFadden. That’s as blatant a red card as you’re likely to see.
Look at what Morelos was sent off for twice at Pittodrie and compare it to that. Even Ryan Jacks red wasn’t as bad as that
McGregor got a ban for NOT kicking someone. Excessive force my hairy hoop.Wasn’t excessive force according to McFadden.
Different story when Morelos got the respective red card at Tannadice earlier on the season when he barely touched the Utd player.

Whether you rate Turnbull here isn't really the point.Turnbull is very overrated, yes it should have been a red card and ref made a terrible decision (should be demoted for that, right in front of him) maybe Turnbull will be cited, he should but in all honesty it won't matter if he plays against us or not he's not that good as made out to be by our rabid journalists.
Collum cost the sheep 2 points tonight - GOOD!
